Want to build a custom turbo setup
oh ok.. but what do i do about the internal wastegate? will it not even open since there isn't the right amount of pressure?
So my modified list looks like this:
up pipe and downpipe,
boost gauge
turbo
wastegate
bov and flange kit
intercooler
fmu
ic piping
braided oil feed line
rubber oil return line

see that lighter silver thing that looks like a grenade? if you have the RRM up/down pipe, the wastegate flange should be there. if not, it goes between the turbo and engine exhaust on the first J-pipe.
just follow the pic. and pick up a turbo book by either Corky Bell or A. Graham Bell. there's also a lot of pics of the RRM turbo kit as well as others all over this turbo forum. take a look around.

you would need a fuel pump so that you arent fuel starved bc of all the fuel it will want with the much greater amoutn of air.
you dont "need" and safc for such low boost but it would help to get a little more power out of the setup but it wont hurt you if you dotn have it on <8psi.

How does this look? I think this is everything I need? Correct me If I'm wrong.
turbo
uppipe
downpipe
boost gauge
wastegate
bov and flange kit
intercooler
boost sensitive FPR
ic piping
braided oil feed line
rubber oil return line
flanges
silicone pipe connectors
fuel pump
Also, where does the MAF go? right after the air filter as usual? I'm pretty sure I got this all figured out! Thanks rhyzin!

you may want to include a turbo timer in there just to keep things in better condition and maybe a pyrometer jsut to make sure things arent going wrong and melting crap. oh and dont forget a gauge pod lol. oh one thing you will have to get if you get the rrm up and down pipes is a slim line fan to replace the oem ones bc they will need to be removed to make room for the turbo and pipes. you will need to to put it on teh front of your radiator.
you know what all silicon pipe connectors you need (what pipes the connect)?
yes, you can put the MAF it right after the filter.
