Umm the o2 sensor is a powered unit. It heats up pretty hot. Youed have to put it somewhere where it wont start a fire.

News to me. Sorry. My friend was telling me how he knew a guy who mounted it in the floorboard and another guy who put it in the wheel well.

Somce cars run a single wire, non-heated O2 sensor. That's probably what your friend has. I think the heated ones get up to a few hundered degrees.

yeah, it's easy to tell though, just count wires, anything more than 1 would be heated, they do that to extend the life of it by burning off any oil or unburned fuel that gets on the sensor

The high limits were: HC- 0.60, CO- 10.0, NOx- 1.50
My car: HC- .41, CO- 7.2, NOx- 0.07
