Gauge would be great... you could easily splice it into the line between the stock regulator and the fmu. In boost you'll see the normal pressure... 80-120psi depending on the pump your using. Once your used to the norm if it drops lower you know somethings up and you need to back off and figure it out.

yes, you are correct, ripp uses a rising rate fpr w/ gauge. yes kit is installed, but no, i don't have it back in my hands yet (friday is D-Day)

what date are we talking about here boe? just curious cause i work weekdays (naturally) and a couple of my weekends are taken (helping melaz turbo his car with lively's kit, aka vince's old kit) and some other various stuff

tell ya what: i'll bring 8 midgets. its like 4 tall people, but you have to worry about groin shots more
Land on 29th... leave on 1st... just over the weekend to visit with my parents a bit. If you came out on a friday night you could just stay over and then leave on saturday/sunday. You get the idea... now bring on the midgets and LETS GET IT ON!!

Please no more than 4 total... i'd like to have a fighting chance.
Boe, How tall are you and how much do you bench? I have nothing against RRM at all. Like Greeny said, ill be installing the stage 1 kit in a week and a half! If you really want to meet up and chat and ****, we should meet half way... 6hrs is ridiculous esp. since your oz wont be here for us to see or drive in! Me and greeny work out alot and bench well over 230 so bring your lucky charms kid, cause you'll need em!

yeah jason (livelyjay) is hooking tyler (melaz) up with his kit, so we're gonna have some fun. but rob or boe, do you know of any stage2 turbo lancers in the NE area? it would be nice to get them in on the action as well (all in good fun, we're gonna get a vid camera and just have a blast)

There were a few but i don't know of their names... the only ones i really know names for are in ohio/illinios areas. A couple florida guys... but only really new liquidlancer from your area and he moved to an evo.

My only question is who will be complaining about the auto versus manuel thing. Supposedly the stage 1 lancer (5 speed) and the stage 2 RIPP SDS should be an even match hp wise right? But if the auto is beat will it be blamed on the tranny or slow song on the radio or the old "ac was on..." If the 5 speed is beat will it be said that the auto was stage 2 so it isn't fair?

Personally i think the hp advantage is in the RIPP kit since it put over 190whp down stage 2 auto right. Some of the best stage 1 manuels i've seen are around 185whp average. Also the 5 speed is harder to launch and not many can shift as fast or as smooth as an auto can.... thus i think driving/shifting advantage is again with the auto RIPP kit. Gearing is totally different though... there i'd say the RRM manuel has the advantage due to keeping the car in a more power producing band. Automatics don't really come off boost either due to the tranny... a manuel will drop boost and rebuild once back in gear... while it's short it does happen so advantage auto.

In the end it should be a great race and i can't wait to see the outcome... of course my money is on the RRM kit but i can't help but feel that there will be some arguements no matter what happens.

You guys should do like the show "Pinks" and agree, on video, that your even and won't wine later about the differences... after all a race is a race right?

Jay just heard from RIPP and he put down 210 at the wheels BUT is running SUPER rich, so rich that its not even safe to run on the road.. I forgot what the A/F gauge read but it was something rediculous. So, its gonna be another week til he thinks he gets his car back.. Ross (pres. of RIPP) is having probs figuring out what is wrong.. Assumptions point to the stock injectors. boe, Dont worry about my launching skills. Ive had PLENTY of practice in moms WRX . And how did you know that I was gonna use, "BUT JAY YOUR STAGE 2" as my excuse if he beats me?!?

nah, me and ty are friends, no *****ing or excuse making. i kinda assume he might beat me just cause of the manual vs. auto thing, but who knows? like i said, its just for fun really it won't be the end all to "whose faster" or anything like that, just some nice vids of us screwing around

hell yeah gbwaacha, jump on board, although your kinda far (we're in central CT which is like 2 hours from you at least)

Stage 2 RIPP should beat STAGE 1 RRM but it will be preety good go. Does Stage 2 RIpp have internal mods too and methanol? Just curious. I know a way to even it it up. RRM Staqge 1.5. Call me Tyler!

ROAD/RACE

stg1.5 eh? what would that consist of? but more importantly, which is more cost effective, stg 1 1/3 or stage 1.75? cause lets be honest, the difference in negligible

no internals on mine, but we do use the meth injection as an "aftercooler" approach instead of the fmic. ty and I will have soem fun, especially hooking the stg1 IC kit up. can't wait
