i have a custom turbo setup and need to upgrade fuel stuff, my safc 2 is on the way from japan and all i need to know is what kind of injectors do lancers have, peak and hold or saturated? also which walbro fuel pump will fit lancers? is 255lph an overkill or will 190lph do? thanks

Can't help you with the tech but you can look at Eclipse in tank fuel pumps for fitment as well as their injectors. At least, I think so. Have to grab my "notes".

The injectors on the stock lancer is a 240cc injector. RPW has both 275, 300 and large injectors in stock which are exactly the same dimensions for the lancer engine so tha you don't have to worry about incompatability problems. We use the origonal injectors and where over 300cc laser drill them out to larger flow rates.

Contact vision imports at www.visionimports.com as I know they have a set of 275cc injectors for sale at this moment but you would probably need 300 or 330cc injectors depending upon what boost you are running.

What kind of turbo are you using Hart? And why is the SAFC coming from Japan? What's your target boost as well? I love seeing new Lancer's running turbo's.

im running a garrett t3, it freakin hauls!! right now i'm running around 8 lbs and the car seems to like it pretty well, other than a small fuel problem around 3 or 4000 rpms. anyways, i ordered the new apexi s-afc 2 limited edition, there's only 1,000 pieces made and they were all released in japan so i've got to wait until they get to me. its better than the other safc because you could only set that one 8 places at 500 rpm increments where as you can set the new one 12 places in 200 rpm increments, it also has alot of features that the old one doesnt. anyway thanks for the help guys!! keep the injectors ideas coming!! one more thing, would stock 440cc injectors work from a 2g eclipse turbo? thanks

i would like to see a pic of where your T3 is and how close it is to the radiator. that turbo seems too large for the space the lancer has. its gotta be too close to the radiator.

you have to be very careful when running 8 psi and are having fuel problems. thats the max...uhh i mean MAX you can run sorta safely on a non-decompressed 4G94 engine. if you get a fuel problem while under 8 psi you will kiss your motor's lifespan goodbye. i'm running 8 psi at the moment with the apexi s-afc with 500 rpm incriments and it seems to be fine for me.

The Walbro 255 l/hr from a 2G eclipse works. thats what i have. you have to sorta make it fit a little but it goes in place of the stock one good enough.

also how would you kno if the T3 "hauls" if you didn't even upgrade your fuel system. all you would be doing is running an 18:1 air/fuel ratio and gain 10 hp...that what happened to me when i first put on my turbo.

"The injectors on the stock lancer is a 240cc injector."

Mitsiman, are you sure it's 240cc? I'm figuring Mitsu went the conservative rout and used the 1.8L's 210cc. The 240cc are current runned on the 3rd gen eclipse 2.4L, pumping close to 150 HP.

255lph walbro is too much. It was meant to push fuel for car hitting near a 400-500 hp.

The t3 has 4 different sizes.

Im not sure about the 400-500 range but this is a common upgrade for the 2nd gen eclipse for people running the 16g or even a big t28 (like me) to take full advantage of the additional airflow. These people are also around (typically) the 250-300 hp range. I also know that alot out there do a rewire on the stock pump that tends to work quite well also.

Look at how much your HP Q.

http://www.motorsportsdigest.com/perform4.htm
This chart makes your FP going insane hard w/ the power wire mod.

http://www.supras.nl/view.php?page=modsFuelPump.htm
A lot of techno and number figures.

http://webhome.idirect.com/~trini/car/maxhp.html
more facts and figures

the 255lph high capacity can run around 500 HP.
the 255lph low capacity can run around the +400 HP.
the 190lph can run +300 HP.

I can't remember if the OEM DSM FP at 110lph can at absolute max run up to 300 HP before running into serious fuel load problems, just like too small injectors.

Yes teh lancer are 240cc injector as we had a customer send us his so we could test them (Before they were available in Australia) for his turbo kit and we sent him 275cc units back.

GOing straight to 440cc injectors will massivly run the car rich at idle.

Going to either 275 or 300cc injectors will allow a lot more adjustement withotu needing running too rich at idle.
