"GT" is the series of turbo by Garrett. "R" means that it's ball bearing.

GT28R - 60mm compressor wheel. 53mm turbine wheel. Ball bearing cartridge.

GT28RS "Disco Potato" - 60mm compressor wheel. 53.85mm turbine wheel. different compressor housing. Ball bearing cartridge.

Forced Performance "Big T-28" - unknown wheel specs. DSM T-25 housings (different than Garrett). GT25R CHRA (turbo ball bearing center assembly). Comparable perforance to an EVOIII Big 16G.

T-28 - Journal bearing Garrett turbo. 60mm compressor wheel. 53mm turbine wheel. same housings as the GT28R.

this is AFAIK.
