Converting injectors.....

i was lookin around the electrial store today and it sparked a crazy idea. if i can rember right Evo Injectors are high Impedence....and the Lancer needs Low Impendence.....well the diff. is just Ohms....so why couldt u put a resistor in series to limt the Ohms and make low impedence injectors?

im probly WAYYYY of in my own world so somebody pull me back down.....

the lancers are high and the evos are low i believe. Some people i think are running lows off of the eclipses. There should be a thread on this forum somewhere.

Silky is correct. Resistor packs can be used on peak & hold (low imp) injectors to make them function like saturated (high imp) injectors. If you do plan on using P&H, make sure you do this, otherwise you risk fuel system failure, and possibly other problems. If I remember correctly there have been fried ECU's on Mirages because of this. If you dig a bit on the forums you'll find more about this though. Bahamut and the other 'Rage guys are awfully helpful.

One Mirager was using 450cc out of an Eclipse, no resistor pack. His car ran fine .... for a while. Then it started doing some weird stuff and misfiring and essentially stopped working. Traced it to a bad ECU, caused by reading the wrong impedance over time.
