inspection and turbo
inspection and turbo
Alright i got two questions i plan on turboing my car this winter for sure im half way there money wise my questions are will i still pass inspection and emmisons living in pa and will i be alright to run turbo with out an aftermarket exhaust i plan on puting one on just wont have the money till after turbo thanks
If there's a visual inspection it will fail. Depending upon a number of factors you may fail an OBDII scan or emissions as well. You will probably have to pay someone to pass the car.
Running a turbo with a stock exhaust is like trying to drink soup with a straw. This is the main thing I worry about with people going FI: doing halfway jobs. Cant you save a few more weeks / months and do a proper job the first time?

inspection is every state, emmissions is by county. I'm assuming you live in Allegheny county so you will have emmissions testing. I would find a family member in butler county and change your address and when you reregister your car this year, change your address to up there and then you'll only need inspection.
ps. I live in beaver county, or i'd let you use my address, but i have emmisions testing out here as well.
