Turbo worth it??

Ok im almost ready to get one of rrm's turbo kits, but ive suddenly been a little discouraged. each of their kits boast 200+whp, but how come only a slight few people on the registry have dyno's with any good numbers. should the 5 g's just stay in the bank for an evo or what? someone inspire me lol

after getting an evo.....think about maintenance and insurance rates. People are mostly satisfied with the RRM turbo kits and they are pretty good in performance. Definately turbo it !! you will love it

Well alot of people save for turbo..but IMO its better to save for an evo because you spend soooo much money on a FWD and its only going to be so fast..the only way to make real power in a lancer is to spend a crap load of money so im just gonna save for the evo

No one can tell you if a turbo is worth it, it all comes down to a personal choice. Would you be happy spending 5000$ for a 200+ hp car?

I'm very satisfied with my RRM T-25 non-ic kit.. it was only $2799. The shop that installed it said it seems I'm at or a hair over 200hp.. I still need to get it dyno'd though. That will come really soon. I already bought my boost gauge and I'm getting an e-manage system so I can tune it further.

wiretap - ur post alone i think convinced me, as long as that 2800$ kit really hold its own im deffinetly willing to put in the money. Insurance on an evo is outrageous, and plus im only 18 ( i bought my lancer and everything on it with my own cash btw lol) and ive got like no miles on my new engine, so the turbo will keep me happy till after college. also anyone kno if rrm is making that turbo manifold instead of the old header combo?

i would have to say, if your looking for just a fast daily car turbo it. but if u want something super fast at the tracks, then yeah, go for an evo.
