Besides the coolant leak, it sounds like you are well on your way.

Been following your thread for some time now. I'm currently in the process of doing a custom 16g setup. I've gather alot of the parts. Now I'm trying to get a Forge Wastegate Actuator and some oil lines.

You need part numbers for the actuator and the spring you need? I will check tomorrow, but I know last I checked, Forge was even on back order. I'll see if I can find out something.

i tuned my car a little bit tongiht and wow. haha i had to retard timing a lot. only got to try 1 new map but it smoothed stuff out. ill be doing more tuning tomrrow night.
it was werid cuz im getting knock at rich afr. its reading 9.8 which it may even be lower but i think is the lowest it goes so im really rich. so wut im doing is turning up the turbo to even it out and then see how much knock i have and go from there. im going to try and get my afrs around 11

You're getting knock already and you're turning up the boost? That doesn't sound right to me.

I would suggest taking some fuel out to get your AFRs back to 11-11.5 instead of turning up the boost to even it out. That's a pretty dangerous way to tune if you ask me.

If he's getting knock already though he can't take out any fuel without increasing the risk of blowing his motor. There are two ways to solve knock, run a richer mixture or retard the timing. It looks like he's done both but is still getting knock. Something isn't right and if you don't solve if you could be buying a new motor.

No, knock is caused by the mixture prematurely detonating in the cylinder. This is caused by heat more or less (pressure can create heat). Running rich cools the mixture thus preventing detonation.

There's only so far you can go with that, how much boost are you using?

maybe you should take it to a shop to be tuned. personally i would rather pay the $200 than risk blowing my motor
