well my friend installed the rrm 16g on his 05 es and the sound is exactly the same but yours seems to last longer... By crazy I meant it sounded like it releases boost slower or draws or it longer...

I feel like the seals are probably blown.

yup. i mean it can be other things too like the valve seals or headgasket to be the worse, but i highly doubt it.

How well will a cheap ebay manual boost controller hold up? Would it be ok to use for 7 psi?

I'm sure it would work fine but what is the spring in the waste gate set at? You cannot go lower than the spring pressure. If the spring is rated at 12 lbs, you can only turn it up. If your trying to lower it, it's a good idea to go with a forge waste gate actuator with a 7lb spring.

We aren't sure about the wastegate spring or the injector size, but they are RC injectors and supposable huge. We are calling the guy who sold him the kit today to ask both of those questions.

good news....
-the raspy noise we kept hearing was just the wastgate.....lol
-the smoke was just from some "fuel cleaner" i got at autozone

so the only things left are that its boosting kinda high (but that may be just that i have a cheep guage), and i need to hook up the turbo timer and boost controller when it comes in.
