ha yeah thats my dad for ya, grew up on a farm and now hes an engineer .

but just a little update....

just wired up my slim fans and is it just me or are they extremmmmelyyy loud..
and i dont think i have them wired up right neway cuz they come on even if i just turn it on aux.. so then i tried starting the car to see if you could hear them over motor and exhaust and now it wont start.. it will crank up for about a half a second and then die . i can understand that happening with it gettin alot more fuel than its used to, but it was running before and i could actually drive it around a little. i duno if its flooded or what, but i only tried to crank it up 3 times.

lol yea you're supposed to use the oem fan controler (well at least i did). just got the plugs and plugged the new slim fans into the controller. works like a charm. they are loud though but it sounds beastly.. haha. just wait till you hear the 255lph...

One problem with that oil return. It's really low on the pan. It usually gets tapped higher up in the silver part (the upper oil pan). The oil might not return well if it's draining into the bottom of the pan.

+1. Tapping the lower oil pan is usually a big no-no for the exact reason drucea stated. The oil will not return well and will build up in the return line and then into the turbo itself.

Your oil return will be a problem. I know personally. Please weld that up and put the whole on the upper pan. You will have one issue, and that is a fried cartridge.

-update

ok so everything is pretty much done . just pulled another all nighter and finished all the wiring. All thats left to do is go to the exhaust shop tomorrow and get my down pipe flange fixed so it lines up better. then i have my greddy rs bov coming in the mail next week, and then ive got an appointment with batlground in atl. to get a tune on the 23rd.

so im pretty siked to finally have all this done! it was really good learning experience and wasnt neat as hard as i thought it was goin to be .

mad props to lancerrally45 for originally putin this kit together, givin me a killer deal on everything, and dealin with all my annoying pm's with ?'s about the install .

and thanks to everyone else who helped out when i had any questions!

ill deff post some more pics soon, and some numbers when once i get it tuned

Your idle should be between -20 and -24. Post a picture of your vacuum line routing. Your vacuum/boost gauge needs to be hooked up at any source after the throttle body (fpr, intake manifold, etc.). You probably have a vacuum leak somewhere if your source is correct.
