The specs in the Mitsu service manual state that the MINIMUM reading on a vacuum gauge should be -18. Most of us read about -20 to -22

I would double-check each and every vacuum line and put zip ties on every connection. This should be done anyway to ensure you don't pop a line under boost and cause your ECU to freak out.

Where are you tapping a vacuum source at? Do you have any other lines T'd into it?

i tapped it into the left side of the intake manifold, and the fmu is also T'd into it as well. is that a problem?

Shouldn't be a problem. Just make sure that all vacuum connections all around your engine bay are tight and secured.

You can tap a BOV into the same line as your gauge. You aren't running your BOV to vent, right? Are you re-circulating it?

Run the BOV over to that U shaped hose right next to your throttle body. It's easy to get to and easy to T into.

ok, well i went to auto zone and got some more hose. the problem was that the walls on the hose i had on my bov were to thin. the vacuum pressure was to strong so it was kinking the hose.

while i was there i got a new T with 3 ends on it cuz im running the boost gauge, fmu, and bov off the same line. and ive got hose clamps on every end so i know its not gunna pop off.

but as far as the vacuum pressure, mines still only reading - 10 to -12. ive got a digital prosport boost gauge and when it starts up it goes all the way down in psi and then all the way up. it goes from 0, -13psi, +45psi, and then to what its reading (-12 to -10) so i think thats just as low as my gauge reads.

hmm, might try that. what size tube are you using??

oh and i still cant get my fans to work :/. ive drove it around a little and havent overheated, but my egt gauge is at about 800 all the time. got to 1200 once when i really pushed it. and the stock water temep gauge gets almost in the middle. ive double checked my wiring on from teh harness and everything and i cant figgure it out.

Are you still using the factory fan relay module? From that relay there are two connections, one for each of the fans. When you install a slim fan you cut the fan harness and connect in the slim fan wiring. Without the factory fan relay no fans will work.

well at first i just cut the harness from that and spliced the fans into the harness, but they would come on even if it was just on aux.

but then i found out you needed to use that so i put it back on and sliced the wires into each connection that the old fans were on. but they havent come on at all. i dont remember, but did the old fans come on right sway when you started the car? and just run faster when it got hot or what.

oh and another thing i duno if i blew a fuse or what or it might have been when i installed my gauges (i tapped into the cig lighter for them) but my clock isnt on and my main dash gauges and hazard light button seem really dim
