and on a side note i got my subaru wrx 440 injectors from work a few days ago. less than $40 per injector from gb remanufacturing! and nice thing is if they dont work i can send them back!
Are you gonna install the 440's and up your boost past 7psi? If so, just remove the 5th injector setup and run with just the 440's. The 440's are good for over 300whp. What are you currently using to tune your setup? If you aren't already using it, I highly recommend using EcuFlash.

ya im getting rid of the 5 injector setup here. going to the 440's all the way thru. and yes im going to utne thru ecu flash. as for going past 7psi im not sure. for one id have to change the spring in my wastegate, and 2 its still my daily driver, so idk.

how high could i go on boost then with the 440's? i still have stock internals and thats another reason why im a little hesitant to up the boost

With the 16G6 you'll be safe with 9-10psi if you have a good tune. The stability of the boosted 4G94 lies completely in the tune. Keep your AFRs under 11.7 with no knock and you're golden.

If you're no comfortable with raising the boost, then you don't have to. I was reluctant on my 16G6 setup to raise the boost 1psi at a time. But I am a meticulous datalogger and know my engine inside and out because of it.

I use scan tech with my cable and it works just fine. Is free and you can download it here. You have to register an account though which is also free. Works fantastic. http://www.aktivematrix.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=80

just remember what port your cable is on and you have to input it in the scan tech program or else youll have a hell of a time figuring out why it isnt working lol.

ok so i really got to play with the 501 maf today and my first fillup of gas since i put it in. i lost 5mpg! so thats when i started looking onto more of my afr's. the unfortunate part is i forgot my cable to datalog it at my apartment in madison and i was down at my parents house an hour south of that. dang it!

my afr's were bouncing all the way down to 9.6 (they mite have gone further, but my gauge only goes down to 9.6). i can feel a little power loss with my afr's being so rich.

would this be becaise of my 5th injector/piggy box or would this be more of something in the ecu with the new parameters of the 501 maf?

josh

No. Go to a dyno.

I was just curious about you saying that "more people around here" need to "know how to race."

You must've run some insanely awesome times to be saying that. Or a bunch of hybrids and Smart Fortwo's happened to be at the drag strip the night you went.
