im sure he meant from a roll. youll be suprised what a turbo lancer can keep up from a roll.

between 7-9psi you should be at least @ 200whp.

it usually goes by whp not how much boost your running till your motor starts messing up.

this is your best bet.get on ebay and find someone selling their complete turbo kit from an evo8 or 9 .youre looking at 200.00 or 300.00. these parts are so common you may be able to do even better than that.the other things you will NEED are a manual boost controller, upgraded injectors and someone to tune this beast.here is the 1 problem the header will have to be custom fabbed unless you can get online and search till you find something that will work.even a completely custom header should cost under 1500.00i dont see why you couldnt get everything installed and tuned for under 3 grand.good luck.after you do this you will need a lsd or some kind of locking diff.if not you will be just burning off 1 tire.as a side note i dont know how good your stock internals are but 10 psi is prob. the most you can safely go.your tuner will be able to get you set up right. good luck

True, but RRM sells a turbo manifold ready to go for the 16g for about 400 bucks.

Just saying that, you can save some more money.

The only way you're going to keep up with a lightly modified evo is if it's modified either incorrectly (BOV, intercooler, no tune) or in ways that have no bearing on power (ie. sway bars, rims).

I suggest you search. There has been fitment issues retrofitting an evo 8/9 turbo setup to our engines. Search some of the buildups in this section for the details.

Also, tuning, depends on the tuner, stock ECU or piggy system. For dyno tuning it can be roughly 150 200 for a couple of pulls.

^^ i agree. sometimes bigger is not always good for low boost unless your running internals. 16g, t28 is plenty on stock internals...you cant even max the turbo w/o a built a motor. hell you can barely max it w/ built internals.

There's alot of customizing to do, but if you have all the right tools, you can do this yourself. It took me 18 hours to drill, weld, grind, cut, shape, and manipulate things to make it fit properly. I did it all for 1800 including all the necessary gauges.
