but tomorrow im going to stop down at the local welding shop and see if they have any scrpa laying around that i can pick up cheap for what i need to finish everything. hopefully scott from ams and chele get back to me soon on what materials wew used on both the manifold and wastegate flanges so i know what metal to acutally buy for the best weld then.

I think we should start a sticky thread on turbo-ing a lancer, so that everyone can know what to do. Other than the 16g set there are very few other routes to take, hence were all close in the money bracket, (of course not all of us). Of coures people would still have Q's even if we posted it picture by picture, but it would still explain alot! just to through it out there

Hey guys I need your help again. I emailed a shop if they could dyno/tune my car with the fifth injector setup and thos is what he said
I can tune your vehicle, but I am not a fan of supplemental injectors. I
can reflash the stock ECU to handle part of your needs but the problem
with the Lancer ECU is it doesn't properly recognize when the car is
actually in boost. What ends up happening is I have to add a ton of fuel
to the upper load regions that normally cover higher load (but still in
vacuum). The car acts fine under higher boost levels (such as when you are
wide open throttle) but it makes the car excessively rich when you are
steady state cruising or mildly accelerating at manifold pressures between
0 vacuum and roughly 1/2 of your peak boost level.

This doesn't sound great. I want my car running perfect the whole time jus not at some points

with the 5th injector, what he says isnt entirely true because i have successfully done it without flashing any part of the acutal ecu when having this setup. i will try to post a pick of what i mean but im on another computer right now and i gotta remember which one it is on that i tuned it last with.

the base map that came on the 5th injector controller from road race was super rich and was actually adding a ton of fuel even before i was at boost. my friend and i got it tuned really well on the back country roads where i grew up at one night, and then could consistently add fuel to the car without making it hesitate due to too much or too little fuel.

this is also why its a necessity to get a wideband gauge so you can see what is actually going on with the air/fuel mixture.
