No im still looking into the turbo. I am not confident enough yet to build a custom turbo. I am still confused about the install about the tranny issue and the o2 dump. I thought I had a good list but it got shot.

Ok guys I was checking out under the hood for the turbo and figuring everything out. Thanks to Carl the ic piping goes where my washer fluid is so that's gone. I'll prob relocate it later but I think I found what everyone was talking about....that famous 04-06 tranny/clutch cylinder. The only part that looks like it might be in the way is a block on the bottom left below my headers. Here is a pic of what I'm talking about
But this little cylinder part looks like what everyone is talking about. It to the right of the headers just above motor mount. *
So the little cylinder on the right is this one in the way? If so I don't see anywhere I can move iT. Any suggestions or is the noob way outta the ball park here lol

thats the same thring i ran into when i was swapping in my evo 8 turbo. and there aint nothng you can do to that unless you swap in an 02-03 trans that has the internal slave cylinder on the tob.

To the contrary, it is actually better to swap from the 02-03 style to the 04-06 style due to the ability to swap out individual components - TOB, slave cylinder, fork, etc. You would think that since that manifold was made to suit the 4G94 engine with a 16G6 turbo that clearance would not be an issue. Hmm...

How close is the turbo to the slave cylinder when it's mounted? Would you be able to use a hump hose as a coupler or is there not enough room?

between the turbo and the slave there was about 1.5" at most and then the slave cylinder sat about 2" in from the entire turbo leaving you with like .5" of clearence that it would actually be able to put a coupler on.

i got pics on my fone, i just gotta find my cable to get them off

So the only options are top mount turbo or swap the tranny. What about spacers on the mani to bring out the turbo a little bit?

with spacers you would have to bring it out about 2" which then in turn with an evo turbo you would be thru the rad support. for this i would get a custom 1/2 gen eclpise mani done and then mount the turbo like the evo going towards the drivers side, not to the passenger side like the eclipse. with this the turbo then would "curl" out and away from the block unlike if you mount it towards he passenger side it will "curl" in on the eclipses.
