injectors for turbo
injectors for turbo
hello there peeps,
I was wondering whats the best way to get 440cc injectors, i have read that Subaru injectors work well. if so are these something i should buy new or can i get away with finding these in a local scrap yard. somewhere on this forum someone mentioned 440cc subaru imprezza injectors, are these found on the turbo or non turbo subaru or both. clarification would be great i always prefer to get deals at the junkers than to break the bank on new parts. also if i do look for these at a scrap yard how do i identify these injectors does anybody have a model number/ part number for these or could someone post a picture of the marking on this part so i know what to look for.
Thank you kindly,
Harvey

First off you want to be sure its the impreza WRX I believe '01-'05 you can use they are the light blue top feed injectors. The top ones here are our stock ones, the bottom are the subie's.

I am a bit of a gambler on used parts myself I bought a set off of Nasoic.com for $50 shipped and have been working great for 2 years now. I would suggest if you do buy used to send them off to be cleaned and flow tested. This will help alot when it comes time to tune them for your car.

if your looking for subaru injectors I bought mine off NASIOC a scoobie forum
edit... skimmed 03lances thread. i took a gamble to but mine were great too. Before you buy just request an injector flow chart test

Amazing this is very helpfull, i am slowly putting together a small turbo kit and will be posting pictures and what not soon. i have an 05 lancer oz rally edition recently i have been getting prepared for turbo by installing rrm's stiff engine mounts(stock engine mounts are a pain i went through like 2 flex pipes because of them and got fed up so i got rid of the flex pipe and put a flange in instead that lasted a while but started to leak so i picked up these rrm engine mount and they are sweet, should help with preventing exhaust welds from breaking and not running a flex pipe). I also installed rrm slotted rotors and pads, and picked up a cheap evo style front bumper and rear bumper off kijiji, to help make room for an inter cooler. intercooler is off of a mr2 i found at a junk yard and the turbo is a tb0350 garrett i found on kijiji i believe it is used on volvos. i am not looking to create insane amounts of power and boost maybe like 7 or 8 psi but will probably desire more around 10 later on i really dont know what this turbo puts out in terms of max/factory set psi but i geuss i will find out when i install it. i bought a sandwich adapter for oil supply and i think, actually i am positive i am going to go with the spa turbo 4g93 cast iron turbo manifold, my friend got this manifold for his volksagon fox along with a biagio turbo and it performed amazingly. if anyone knows why i shouldnt go with the spa 4g93 manifold please let me know??? from what i have read it should work fine. also my exhaust is 2 1/4" and i already have a air fuel and boost gauge installed.
today i just removed my evo style spoiler and had to fill in the holes from which it was mounted through my trunk. this spoiler is also a huge pain in the *** and the car looks better without it also soon i am going to take off my fibre glass evo style hood because it too is also a huge pain and both are up for sale now if anyone wants to take these useless parts off my hands they are welcome but they are usless just so you know. i just really hate how light the hood is i always feel like it is going to break at the latch and smash my windscreen, and fitting hood pins is just really difficult and time consuming they never line up right so back to stock hood and no spoiler.
