ive been told that the hks ssqv bov is better but youd have to do some work to get it to fit on the rrm kit

If you want something that is really loud go with the RFL BOV..it is a non recirculating kit. HK$ SQ's are nice too but tend to be spendy and thats not including the flange...The Greddy's are nice to but you are also payin for the name hence the price. For me I and it could also of course work for you a 1 gen BOV will cost you less than $100 and can hold 18psi. A modified, crushed, one can hold up tp 25. Just like other DSM vendor sites say yes the GReddy looks colorful but it also sales for 250 bux vs 50-100 dollars for the 1st gen and does exactly the same thing. Your call. Also note that the 1 gen is not adjustable where the GReddy is. Just an FYI for you. MY advice tho if you want to make pedestrians jump go with the Turbo XS RFL (Really F*&king Loud) BOV. It is a TRUE BOV (DTA ) and is not a CBV. It is the loudest BOV made. Oh yeah by the way HAPPY BOOSTING!!!!!!!!!

venting to atmosphere on lancers is no good. i've heard it stutters, stalls and jumps a lot, id go recirc with a greddy type s. if you want to verify this call rob at rrm and ask him what he suggests.

Stick with the Greddy Type-S. I called RRM yesterday asking the same question because my Turbo Kit is about to get installed also and they told me the best one for the RRM kit is the Type-S

This is one of the biggest misconception,,,,there are so many BOV's out there...tial, greddy, hk$, blitz, turboxs.....they are all built with great quality....one is not going to be better for one turbo kit to the next if it has the same features you are looking for...meaning adjustable and has some type of recirculating kit, (if thats what you want) that you can purchase with it. RRM or road race engineering SELLs the greddy BOV so thats what they are gonna sugest with their kits....thats the ways it goes. But dont get me wrong greddy makes great products but there are other options for BOV/CBV's than JUST greddy.....I was giving you other options that you can look at...also dont forget alot of these companies do make recirculating kits for there VTA's. On a side note...cars can be vented some cannot.....each one tends to behave differently some worse than others while some have no problems. The reason for the stalling is because you are dumping air from the intake track that has been previously measured and the ecu is dumping fuel for it;. But it is something to take into mind...though sounding really cool it will dampen performance and you WILL run rich during shifts.......but to each his own. I myself recirculate, I tried venting but my baby didnt like it too well. Well I hope my post have given you some insite and let yo know that there are other options than a greddy...

To augment Mobius' last post, there was a fantastic article on BoV's in Turbo Mag several months ago comparing and contrasting boost holding capabilities and basically every important factor of most major BoV's. I'll see if I can find a link if they posted it. If not I'll at least find the month if people want to order it.

EDIT: Can't find it, but I'll check when I get home if I remember. SCC had one too, but its comparison was crap compared to Turbo Mag's (which is funny considering they're owned by the same company you'd think they'd have more similar info). Just goes to show you Turbo's slightly more tech oriented.
