FMU-Fuelpump--RR PB

SO I guess after seeing the video of the Turbo Lancer- I want to finish my turbo kit. I have a few questions about the fuel. Maybe someone can give me a little insight on what works the best for the Lancer and save me alot of time. I have made custom turbo kits before and I know there is alot of R&D that goes into making a custom turbo car. I plan to use an intercooler and keep the rr pb- what FMU (disks)are people using? I am not going to upgrade injectors at this time. What kind of fuel pump upgrade is best and has worked the best? are people using Fuel pressure regulator with that? Keep in mind I do know what I am doing and I know there are alot of turbo kits out there on the lancers right now, I am wanting to know what combinations are working the best for poeple. It would be nice to spend five grand on a bolt on but I got a morgage.

Walbro 255lph or 2g GS-T fuel pumps are your best options. The Walbro being the better flowing of the 2. RRM uses a Vortech FMU to raise fuel pressure, but a rising rate FPR would offer the same benefits. That's the short of it. Hope it helps.

Yup. I'm selling mine soon if you want one that's in good condition and at a reasonable price. I have a calibration set too (several different discs should you ever want to upgrade injectors and use a lower pressure disc).

My personal distaste for the FMU on stock injectors is due to the high IDC it causes you to run. If I remember correctly at 6psi stock injectors would run 85% IDC. While it's not unbelievably high it is in the grey zone.

what i'm running in my car is a walboro 255 pump, fuel pressure regulator, 450cc injectors and a super afc. the car runs great. i've tried a couple of different combo's also but i found that the setup i have on the car now works great.

P.S.- I'm also selling my 12:1 Vortech FMU for $100 bucks if your interested.

No. No benefit whatsoever. It's activated by positive manifold pressure.

FYI the TSI kit uses 14:1 but it isn't vortech and it isnt enough.
