oh i just finished carpeting everything. so the wooden box is carpeted along with the corner enclosures. i built the amp cover but im not done making the cutout and the neon under... i couldn't find a carpet that is the exact same color as my trunk one so the one i used is the closest i could get my hands on.

hey can someone fill me in on how many caps i need??? I think i need a cap cuz when i turn my amps on my headlights dim like crazy every time the bass hits. The cap is supposed to store power so your amps take the power from the caps and not your battery right? i was thinking of buying two caps and fiberglassing them both onto the empty spaces on the sides of my ported box, good idea??? or not???

Honestly sykou, I would look into a second battery setup. The cap is only for energy spikes. It only helps in major power draws. It may help your lights a bit, but untimately you just need more power. A cap discharges very quickly, but charges very slowly, so over time you will still get some dimming. I would just recommend you do a second batt, saves more time and money and is MUCH more efficient.

I agree doesn't seem like that would be good for clear sound but the box looks nice

so a cap doesn't continuously give a constant charge to your amps...damm i had it all wrong.. ahhh!!!...so if i were to get a second battery could you give me a little insight on how i would possibly wire it. by wiring i mean hooking it up to the original batt. cuz i already did a battery relocation on my other car so i no how to do that but i just need to know whether/how to wire the batteries in series or parrallel.

wire them in parallel. wiring your batteries in series would make you car 24 volts and i don't think anything would like that.

A second battery is a bad idea. Unless you listen to the stereo with the key off for extended periods, you create more problems than it's worth. I am moving my battery to the trunk and using one of these

www.bigampbatteries.com

It will more than double the instantaneous current of an Optima Yellow top and have much less of a voltage drop under load. The alternator only has to charge 1 battery less often since they regenerate a charge at rest. There will be a smaller version available soon, but it obviously won't have the same output potential.

After you bought 2 batteries, an Isolator, wiring and solenoid, you will spend more and create a bunch of new electrical problems in your car.
