false floors look really good done properly. go ahead and try it, but i really don't think you need to fiberglas the floor. just go get some thin plywood, or get a sheet of plexiglas (which if you want to do a window you will need anyway. if your at all concerned with warping on the plywood go with some thinner mdf. just make sure you build a proper support structure under the floor so that when you sit heavy boxes/bus on it it doesn't crack through. the biggest problem i have with false floors with windows is cooling sometimes is inadequate for the amp. in my last car i ended up doing a flush mount amp because a window would have sealed the amp in a small area with tons of heat to be generated.

take it all out and start over, that is what i would do. My personal opinion is that setup sucks, I like how you left that option out of your poll. But since it is your car, as long as your happy go with it.

I am not trying to make enemies, he asked for comments and i am not one to hold my tongue. I am not trying to be rude, I am stating my opinion. Since I never get a chance to get online, it is hard for me to get a chance to comment at appropriate times. I love it when people try new things, it gives ideas for all to see. As far as friends go, nope dont have any. But thats what happens when you spend 5 years overseas, but thats ok.

my set up.
Main unit is the Alpine IVA-D901 accompanied with an Alpine HDA-5460 16gb hard drive and a Alpine DHA-S680 6 disc DVD changer. I have two Alpine TMX-R680 flip down screens 1 behind each seat. For sound quality I have 2 soundstream tarantulas in a custom box, powered by a soundstream Van goh 1600.2. Componenets I have 2 sets of the Soundstream Van goh 6.5 components powered by a Van goh 500.4.

While I agree with your stance, just saying that it "sucks" is definately rude.

Maybe try pointing him in the right direction?
