If you'd wait more than a day you might get a response, patience is a virtue

Stock speakers in my Evo are labeled 15W 4-OHM on the back

15W is about right, figure the HU is putting out 25 peak per channel, 15W RMS power handling on the speakers would be a good match for that.

anything is better than stock.. with certain exceptions such as pyramid, bose, jensen
(yes, I included bose, bose sounds like ***, if you think they don't, go listen to a REAL high end sound system)

15 rms? what is peak? i have 120W to go in. im assuming these are better than stock. 15 W soudns really low though. my deck is pumping 50x4 through these guys.....and i havent blown anything yet. 15 W would be fine if they were like 1 ohm with indivudual amplieirs like a bose premium audio system that some cars have. 15 W sounds realyl low though.

That HU is really probably putting out what 20W RMS ? Mine also says 50x4 but is maybe 20RMS, at about 3/4 volume the stock speakers distort very badly

yea the speakers are 15W if I remember right. like the last post said 50 watts is the peak power comin out of ur h u, the rated rms watts are probably around 20, and depending on what brand that can be a little imbelished

thanks guys.

and my deck is pioneer and i can crank it to 5/6 power (50 out of 60 on the knob) and not get ANY distortion. Maybe ya'll should try balancing your sound. I havea sub, so i dont need bass through my speakers. when u remove the bass from the speakers in the built in EQ on a an aftermarket deck you can crank them much louder......

but im sure u guys know this.......

thanks. i will be replacing my speakers then i guess!
