a good system is only as good as its weakest link. in this case i agree that jensen is not the way to go. i have used many of their products in the past and all were waste of money. just my .02. i compete in USACi, i see many tough cars, none have used jensen. But hey, work with what you have hope its does the trick

I'm running the Infinity Kappa components myself. I would not run these off a headunit alone. Most headunits only produce 35watts RMS and the Kappa's spec at 90RMS. If you run these speakers off a head unit, they will sound no different from speakers you can buy at wal-mart. I would try to push them as close to the RMS as I can. The more power they get, the cleaner they sound.

As for the crossover; all Kappa's come with crossovers, even coxial speakers.

i dunno if i'd go THAT far....

but i agree, you need to have at least your front speakers powered. as i have said before, i am not a firm believer in the whole rear speaker thing, but to each his own.

thats why im going to run them off an amp, i had planned on it, i dont have the speakers in yet, im getting everything ready then putting them in

did you buy the headunit from wal-mart? they are the only place that I have actually seen that carried them.

I have seen inside a Jensen and an Alpine head unit and the difference is very noticable...
Alpine puts more into fabrication and less into flashiness

i just got my deck a pioneer deh-940mp, and plan on going with all boston acoustic components around...hopefully that will sound good
