sparking fuse

sparking fuse

i installed my amp yesturday, alpine, and it was working fine, and then today i started smelling burning, and i went in the trunk and it was def. from somethin back there, and then i get back in it later on, and the amp isnt turning on, i tried to pull the fuse out while it was playing music and the amp would turn on for a second and then fuse would smoke. whats wrong??

if u let the smoke out of it ur screwed

check ur fuse, it shouldnt be smoking and power/ground connections

your fuse may have a VERY DANGEROUS DEAD SHORT. do NOT USE IT, get a new fuse, if your fuse is smoking or sparking it is most likely a dead short which means pure high amperage power is going through it and if u keep using it u will destroy the amp if it gets a surge, not to mention it could seriously injure you.

+1 jst go out and buy a set of new fuses, a couple bucks is alot less than a new amp or hospital bill...
