10w7
yeah, what kind of power is pushing it?
just my opinion, but JL series is way overrated. not that they aren't good subs....just that they are the ONLY subs people seem to talk about, when there are equal and much better subs out there. it's mostly about the amp anyways

i dont have the overpriced, power hungry 10W7...but i do have the polk/momo MM12 that pounds just has hard and has even better sq using less power....
the JL is nice (couple of my friends have it) but i think a name is only worth so much...

right now im running under power, im supposed to be getting another 1000x1 jl amp, but i dont know when im getting it. it doesnt matter if i blow them, my dad works for sound advice so he can just swap them and put new ones in.
the D2 works great with the w7 i don't kno what ur talkin about....the D2 does not have a high distortion rate < .02% THD...it is a fully digital amp and is one of the most efficient ones out there.
i remember hearing that %THD is a bullcrap spec. the human ear supposedly can't detect less than 0.1%. 0.01% is overkill apparently.
if you want proof, get an oscilliscope. turn your system up til you hear distortion, then back it up a little. i GUARANTEE you will see distortion on the scope, even though you can't hear it. you'd be really suprised what the human ear can tolerate in terms of distortion.
