Running Wires
For those of you who have run amps or other wires through the firewall, has anyone found a plug or hole that's an easy install for an amp's power wire? Unfortunately I haven't had any luck finding one yet, but I'd like to think there's one tucked away that I just keep missing.
Check up underneath where your glove box is. Also look in the same place inside the engine bay. There should be a plug on both sides. Its about the size of a silver dollar even a little bigger. This is all pretty much speculating though because thats where mine was on my Evo VII. I guessing maybe they would be the same
Let me know and I hope I helped you out

Well, the second part's pretty easy. Since I actually have a chance to look at my car in the sunlight today I'll see if I can't find it. If only the US Lancer had just a few other things in common with the Evos.

For the record...found where all the wires run...too bad i lost my rachet set. Left center towards the bottom. There's also a plug behind the glove compartment, but I'm too lazy to take my whole dash apart right now so I'm not messin' with it. Hope that helps anyone else who had the same question. ...though apparently (from the lack of posting) nobody does.
Thanks for the help, evo.

Very nice. Have fun with it...I just need free time (working full time and school on the weekends) so I can take up the carpet and run all the wires...after I take them out of my old car! Fun! Thanks again!

To the left of the steering colum is a circular area of firewall about 8 inches in diameter....take a cobalt bit....I reccomend Sears 1/2" bit and good drill....not a cheapy...and drill yourself a nice hole. Push a piece of snake tubing right through...then feed your power wire...and now your all set. Repeat as needed...so far i have my fog lights, neon under lights, and soon police lights and driving lights are going in one hole...then my 4 gauge power wire for my stereo is in the other hole...take up the scuff plates and bury your wires...clean as can be.

I was trying to avoid drilling at any reasonable costs. Funny thing is I'm so damn lazy I still haven't done it. Stupid weekend classes and lack of daylight! Where's my 14 hours of light!? I need me some summer so I can finally tear my car apart.
Its the easiest hole to drill and it puts all the wires right there for you. I ran my neon under lights, fog lights, and driving lights through one hole and my 4 guage stereo through another...its easy.
