What kind of wire for a 600 Watt Setup

What guage wire should I run back from the battery to my amp? Is 8 Guage wire sufficient?

If your amp actually does 600 watts rms I would go with 4 gauge. But it is probably 600 peak, which unless it is an efficient amp, will never reach 600.

So 8 gauge should be fine....

8 would be fine, but 4 guage would be even better. A good power supply with a really good ground are the basics in any good stereo setup.

If you can afford the bump up to 4 ga do it... 8 ga will work, but then you won't have room to expand in the future. I'd hate to have to pull wiring and replace just cuz it's too small.
