The foam is already dried, but yeah the hood props do look close, but I'm sure he's closed the trunk already. Man, this is like watching a movie that is to be continued...I'm dying to see how this comes out. It looks hot though.

does the foam expand, harden and stick like glue? cuz if not i dont see a problem removing the system, cuz i thought it just hardens and expands at the same time

yeah the second it comes out of the can it begins to expand, and like caulk, i think it really sticky too. so the part he has done is now stuck, expanded, and hardened now. But it dres into a foam, like styrofoam (however its spelled) just without the little *****. So removing it would just be cutting chunks out and removing them.

theres no room for a spare tire in there now, seems like he is using it for a show car or so he says so the chance for disaster is minimum. although i wouldnt drive w/out a lil backup of a jack n such and have a can of some fix a flat type expanding/hardening plug fixing foam. w/e it might be good luck, cant wait to see the finished product

or just replace the spare with a can of fix-a-flat. theres a big difference in weight and space.

btw, those who use fix aflat, take it from a tire guy, we hate that crap, and it distroy's your rim, get AAA and tow it in.

That's gana look sweet, especially for your first fiberglass job. About 2 years ago, I did a side mount sub in my SRT (my ix GSR is on its way from cali....till then i still have the skittle). I actually got the inspiration from a website that some guy put up about how he did his. Granted, mine was designed for maximum trunk space, but fiberglass is fiberglass. Cant wait to see your finished product.

Heres mine. No 56k If you scroll down down, in adition to my finished pics, i kinda did a walk through of the initial glasswork.
You can always show off your trunk with that much more pride when you tell everyone "I designed and made all of that."
