HU install question

Just ordered a Kenwood KDC-X789. Just wondering if anyone knows how easy this install is. Will I need any adapters or will it be a plug and play deal? This will be my first HU install so any advice would be great.

Install is easy. Pull off the climate control knobs by pulling them towards you. Take out the two screws behind the the knobs. Pull the trim piece around the HU and climate control towards you (might be a little hard the first time but don't break anything trying to pull it out too hard). Remove the four screws around the HU and pull the stock radio out. Remove the wiring harness and the antenna from the stock unit. Use the brackets on the sides of the stock unit for the aftermarket. If you have problems taking out the screws on the stock brackets take it in to Circuit City and they'll help you out. My screws started stripping when I tried taking them out (and I was using the correct size philips). This is how I did it for my '03.

I'm at Ft. Belvoir, right by Alexandria. I don't think the install will be too tough, just gotta go get a wiring harness when the HU gets here it looks like. Thanks for the help guys.

Ive done plenty of radios in my car and never once had a problem. Just a word of advice your attenae(sp) is your ground. So there may not be one on the harness you get to plug in the stock one.

In my installs (any car/ truck), I screw or bolt the ground wire into a metal part of the chassis.
