alarm question/poll - pls read

i just had my hornet 554t installed.
and i noticed that if i pop my trunk, the alarm doesn't go off.

my question is,

for the people with alarms, do you have a trunk switch (trunk pin)?

what do you mean? when you pop the trunk? from the remote or from the inside of your car? i dont have a trunk pin...i just tapped into the trunk light wire. that way, when the trunk has been opened, light goes on and alarm sirens.

instead of running a wire all the way to the back, you could just look for the wire in the driver kick panel, that's where it usually runs. i can tell EXACTLY where it is in a couple days when i install my alarm or you can find the colour at the light in the trunk and search for the same colour in the kick panel. don't go probing randon wires though, make sure you have a multimeter or protected probe like an "auto-probe" brand to check the wire. this way you can't screw anything up

I grabbed it at the light, but I also ran the wires for a trunk release solenoid. I found it easier to grab it there then to prob around wires in the front.
