BTW, the range is nowhere close to a mile away. Realisticly maybe a 1/10 of a mile away in open field. In a building with walls you may make it to the middle of parking lot. Great alarm/remote start/turbo timer. Battery does not last long though.

as far as i know, they use AAA batteries.. well thats what i use at least.. thats why battery life isnt as good.. should come with Ni-Mh batteries and just charge it whenever its low
