trunk system quick question

Okay heres the deal. My subs stopped working and the kept trying to hit like I could hear them hit twice or so and just stop again altogether. I checked to make sure it wasnt the power wire disconnected or something because the light on the amp is still on. So I tried checking fuses and all of them were fine. I found that the rca cable on the back of the deck was broken so i switched in a new set and still nothing happened. So I put in a new remote wire, and still nothing. Im running out of ideas. Anyone got any help or advice?

Edit: I also put in new speaker wire and make sure all the connections were good.

Check the ground wires if you haven't already.

Ground wire, short in the amp, wires came off inside the box.

Could be your RCA outs at the HU as well. If you have multiple RCA outs, try a different one.

possibly blown subwoofers, or overloading the amp. with a blown subwoofer, it can still work, just horribly and intermittently. with an overloaded amp, it will cut out for a second, and start again, then cut out again, etc. overloaded meaning the subs are wired at an ohm load to great (low) for the amp to handle.

I know you said you checked the fuses, but i encountered the same problem in my uncles camaro. The big fuse for the power wire seemed to be in good condition and working properly, took it out and everything. Turns out the fuse was bad and just had bad internal connections. I switched it out for a new one and bam, stereo worked again like a charm!!! I would say try switching that fuse out and see if it solves the problem.
