hey there, i live in australia, and i completely replaced my audio system, sounds hell of a lot better now, i like my bass, lol, if ur not too keen on extra bass (mind u, with a decent deck u should be able to modify the bass a bit anyway) just see about getting some 6 1/2 splits for the rear, and some 6 1/2 components for the front, then depending on your budget, wire them up to an amp instead of the deck, means the system can go louder, just make sure the speakers are able to take it. want any more advice, just ask.

lol without any kind of actual sound system. Audio coming from the factory is gonna sound poor. If you look into getting new speakers. Now they don't have to be a good brand or an expensive one, just by replacing those factory speakers will give you good quality sound. Now theres ways to also add a amp to the stock head unit to add a little better sound. I replaced my two back speakers and i have two 12s with a memphis amp and factory door speakers. It seems Mitsubishi wanted the door speakers to be better than the back ones lol.

two cents.
also keep in mind that the lancer was built for its crappy sound system, not an upgraded one. if you start upgrading make sure not to go to high on the watts cause our cars stock alt and battery wouldnt be able to withstand the increase in power for long. my 10w7 and 500/1 amp kills my power
