easiest way to REMOVE sound deadening?

easiest way to REMOVE sound deadening?

I want to remove all my sound deadening, because I dont have subs anymore, but as you may know, its stuck on VERY good. does anyone know how to remove it easily?

You can use dry ice. Put it on a spot for 10 sec or so. Then just hit with hammer. Breaks it right up.

dry ice works the best, doesnt leave behind any residue or sticky ****

Yea, but it takes longer than 10 secs depending on the size. Usually several minutes 10 or so, then all the sound deadening become hard sheets.

damn i was hoping i wouldn't have to pay for anything to remove it, but i want it allll gone. thanks for the idea....so heating the stuff and pulling it off wouldn't work too well?

I'm confused. Why would you want to remove this stuff even though there's no stereo in there now? Is it impeding something else?

well the point of getting rid of the subs was to save weight and to save for a turbo so the sound deadening weighs down the car a bit! and its covering access to the fuel tank if i need to change the fuel pump eventually haha
