the install must be done by a professional, because it requires a lift for the car because yo cant get the alternator from above the car. again, i went to a shop and asked about install lol. idk how shops are by you, but the place i went to would have charged 80 dollars an hour, and would of taken maybe 2-3 hours the guy said.

also, i have videos of bass in my 08 GTS when i had my SPL system. ill upload them now then post links so you can see. i hit a 135.7 on an almost blown sub. box was a total of ~6 cu. ft. and ported...built to Kicker specs for max SPL.

also, it pretty much does drown everything else out, but you wont be pushing as much power as i was, and also your speakers are amped so you will definitely be fine.

nice, well I am sure I will be getting the JL amp, I still want to see pictures of the box, was that box built to jl specs or do you know matt?

135.7? thats not to shabby, I have seen 172-76 before, thats pretty sick. At anyrate, would 750watts be enough for the sub? Or should I have the 1000/1 push it? I am just worried that the sub maybe blown.

Sofia,
800w rms to your sub isn't hurting it all? I guess I should be safe with the amp just by turning the gain down. tad we bit:P

yep- down to subtracting basket displacement, vent disp. etc... the 1000/1 will put out a little over 1000 watts, but you can turn it down- the instructions show how to tune the amp for a 12w7, a 13w7, and if I can remember one other sub. Ill get some pics of the box up later tonight.

fantastic, I was listening today and realized I will most def need an eq to help it out a bit! I will however have to get more done to it, like an amp upgrade and a big 3 I will eventually want to add HIDs to it.
