Question about installing a aftermarket touchscreen
Question about installing a aftermarket touchscreen
I want to install a Pioneer AVIC touchscreen...not sure which model yet. My question is that I want to retain my factory steering mounted volume controls.....if i install the aftermarket headunit will it still work? Or do i need additional products to make it work?
You will need addition parts. There is a device PAC SWI-PS that goes into the back of the unit ("remote" output) and splices into the steering wheel controls. I have the 700BT and i can still use my steering wheel functions.
I found it on amazon for $44.81 (98% saving)

Edit: Just saw you live in toronto so you would have to get it from another site and ship it over or check your local audio shops
Are you installing the head unit or a shop? PM me and i know a really good shop that did mine and everything works.
