subwoofer enclosures?

I just got my new subs, 2 10" eclipse. I wanted to see what enclosures you guys had for your subwoofers. I don't know much about enclosures but I was kind of thinking of going with seperate boxes for each sub, I don't know if that's a good idea. I want "pretty" boxes lol with like plexi glass and what not..I'm interested to see what you guys have.

Any comments, tips, or help would be great, thanks!

eclipse hit pretty hard. my friend has only one and its loud *** hell ... but it depends on what u like. i like sub boxes with plexiglass b/c i got madd shyt in my trunk and i dont want to break a sub. usually if u get one with a plexiglass cover your not really getting sound ur getting the air hitting off the glass.

For the 2 10"s you wouldn't have a real problem putting them in 2 seperate boxes, but for a slightly better appearance, you may want to consider a single box either made completely of plexi or plexi paneled. A word of warning though: Plexi boxes don't come cheap, and they're also finickey about things like general abrasions (they scratch easy) And as a 3rd note, you won't be able to make a straight plexi box yourself. Where with a traditional wooden box, anyone can make one.

Another option you could build would be a wooden box with a plexi back panel... just be sure to seal it properly, and be sure your plexi is thick enough.

that's what I had in mind.

WOW SICKdimensions, that thing looks huge ;]. I want something light and something that doesn't take up a lot of space.

i have 2 12s and its massive. since u got 10s than it wouldnt be so big. and the fact that it has a plexiglass cover it takes up more space and it is heavy. it looks like i drop my car from the back
