Maybe if you posted a remote start question in audio and security instead of engine tech you'd find the crowd you were looking for. Moving.

ok hope im not late . Well a starter is basicaly easy you have to find the wire that run to your starter there is a 12v which is the big wire that goes form starter to battery, also somewhere in htere should be a yellow wire that is ignition that runs to eithe the fuse and under the stering cullum. ofcourse dont forget you have to ground it i recomend where ever you ground you sand it then bolt the ground wire. accesories wires can be corner light to head lights to whatever you want. hope tis helped
i recently installed one on a honda civic 99 all that i needed was on the fuse box and steering culum. the onthing i taped was the igniton wire that comes from the starter. so this is it how it works basic install ok.
12v wire that goes from the bat to the starter big wire right you tap it done 12 v is done.
igniton wire is yellow comes from starter to fuse or cullum tap it done
black is gound
white is accesories. tap it to the corner lights.
in theory your done but some remote strat are more complicated.
so here the procces.
click your remote butom
sends a spark os jolt tot he 12v wire that send it to the starter turns car on the yellow wire get s the volt and activate antitheft on remote so you dont drive the car with out the key. once is on send signal to accesorie wire whic turn corner lights on. when you stick the key in and turn it the igniton wire is deactivated and now you can actaully drive the car asweelas the corner light turn off as sson as the key is turned. like i said this is a very basic remote start some require relays for by passing anti theft on cars. hope i helped some

No fear man. I used to do this for a living. First thing you need is a multimeter capable of reading AC,DC current. All of your wires will be in ignition harness 12v, starter, ignition, second ignition if one is needed, accessory wire, (lock and unlock will be in kick panel somewhere) and parking lights will be off switch or off the fuse box. Tach wire will be under hood, or from back of the instrument cluster. Brake wire is off of back of brake pedal. I'll tell you now wire colors I know off top of my head with my lancer, and how to test to verify these are correct. The tach wire at the moment I don't know which wire it is, I just haven't installed a remote start on my car yet. Keep in mind, you can usually not worry about tach wire with some cars if your lazy. However car will not start up all the time properly without this tach wire hooked up. By using the tach wire input, the R.S. reads the vehicles tach signal to properly know when to stop cranking over motor. Without the wire properly connected, you will have preset crank time on remote start which you can choose which one you want. When you do it this way, remote start outputs a signal for relay to crank car over for say three seconds. But realize like in cold weather, it takes a little more juice to actually start car up, so usually car not using a tach wire persay will take possibly two tries to actually start. Recommend tach wire(its just better for your car).
12volt+polarity wire is a white wire in ignition harness.
This wire reads 12 volts all day.

starter wire is yellow/black positive polarity. Ig. Harness
This wire only reads 12 volts when car key is turned over and starter is activated.

ignition positive polarity is black/white wire. Ig Harness
Ignition wire will read 12 volts when key is turned one notch, just before starter is activated.

accessory wire is blue/black positive polarity.
accessory wire reads 12 volts when accessories are activated. (car stereo, Air Conditioning....)

power lock is smaller purple wire in drivers kick panel. neg. polar.
Reads 12 when lock is pressed.

power unlock is light green in drivers kick panel. neg. polarity
reads 12 when unlock is pressed.

parking light + is green/white wire in white plug at bottom of fuse box.
flip parking lights on and this wire should read 12.

Door trigger wire - polar. white wire is also in white plug at bottom of fuse box
Reads door is opened. This wire would be used for domelight supervision.

Brake wire is a green wire +polarity out of brake switch.
When the brake is pressed will read 12 volts.

Thats all, happy installing, and please solder your connects and use good 3m electrical tape my friend!
