Audio Renovation?

Hey, I have been wanting to redo my cars Audio.
I have a Sony CDX--GT34W Head unit and the stock KFC-1680ie 6 1/2 speakers. I think I blew one of the back speakers, and I was wondering what a good replacement would be? Do I have to stick to the 6 1/2's or can I cut out a place for some 6x9's?

I do have a 10" Pyle Blue wave Sub in a little box that I got for hardly anything, and a Pyle Amp.

Can I use componet speakers for the front? Ones like this-http://www.crutchfield.com/p_158GTX1...1S.html?tp=106

and if so do they need another amp for them?

Components sound like a great idea until you realize how hard it is to find a good place to mount the tweeter and run the wires. I did it and it was very difficult, but I rewired my whole car with pro grade speaker wires.

I highly recommend Rockford Fosgates R1653 Prime series 3-Way car speakers.
Only 34$ brand new on ebay (A steal btw, I paid 50 a year ago)

I have these in the front of my car and a set of kenwood components in the rear and I tell you the tweeter in these babies is ALL you need.

Hook those R1653's to a 4 channel amp and they are amazing.

I have also put these in my buddies accord (they didnt fit cause hes a moron) but they sound 10x better than the ones he had previously.
My other friend also has these in his civic.

Those sound like some nice speakers for cheap! I am getting on that deal! Do I really need a 4 channel amp to power them all? I don't have one so I would need to get one, would I need to run another power wire from the battery to power that amp or would I need to just split the power going to my pyle amp?

No, you do not need to hook them up to an amplifier. If you are REALLY crazy about how your music sounds then its worth it. I LOVE my music and my system.

If you did decide to got his route you can purchase one of several different 4 channel amps from probably under $100 bucks. Also, if you have a long enough power wire to get to the battery to your new amp (if you decide to do it), then just run another wire.

The fancy way to go about it would be to run one larger size power wire to a distribution block that would split into 2 separately fused wires to each amp.

Well that works out nicely, When I bought my car it was already wired up for an amp, and they used Really heavy wire.

Most cheaper lower wattage amps only requires 8 gauge wire, so as long as there is 4 gauge existing you can work with that easily.

Hey! I put in those RF's 6.5s in the rear, and Dang does it sound good! I don't think I will need a 4 channel cause its already loud enough for me. When I get my taxes back, I am going to get another set for the front! Thanks for the recommendation man!
