Are these good?

Hi. I have a 2002 Lancer ES and I would like to installing the following 2:

Sony 1200W Bridgeable 2-Channel MOSFET Amplifier with Variable Low-Pass Crossover
Model: XM-2200GTX
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....oryId=cat03085

and

Dual Two 1100W 12" Single-Band-Pass Subwoofers with Box - Black
Model: XINBP212

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....uct&cmp=%20%20

These 2 are from Bestbuy. The price for both is $350.00 plus cables and installation which I'm gonna guess is around $100.00. So the grand total should be around close to $500.00. However for the amp I typed in my vehicle info for the "Vehicle Fit Check" and it says the amp doesn't fit my car? But shouldn't this amp fit any car? Do you also recommend getting a better battery like a yellow top so my alternator won't die on me?

I would stay away from Best Buy. You can find better stuff online for less $$. Installation is easy if you have common sense and I guarantee you'll do a better job than some wrench monkey at BB.

My $0.02.........

Yes, but I really don't want to risk breaking anything as my car is still under warranty. Plus I don't have the tools to install these and I can guarantee I will pretty much break something. At least I'm thinking of buying the amp and subs and maybe have some local reputable car audio shop I know do the installation. I think I can actually find the amp someplace cheaper, but the subs seem very good for its size, price and performance. What concerns me though is how the Bestbuy website says "no fit" for the amp on my car. How is that possible? Perhaps you're right they just don't have the know how to install stuff?

There is no amp that will fit in any car if we only consider oem replacement.

It's a no fit, but it will fit if you mount it your way.

Plus I don't have the tools to install these and I can guarantee I will pretty much break something
All you need is some wire cutters, some screw drivers, and common sense. There is a whole bunch of "How to" around here. Have a look at them and you'll see how easy it is to install your own.

I've read that one sticky and maybe 2 posts on sub and amp installation. Sorry, but I'm definetly going to have a shop do this for me. I was completely lost all together even in the very beginning on attaching a red wire to the battery. So confusing!

Contrary to the popular belief, I committed the 2 car audio sins. I got both Sony stuff AND it was from Best Buy. My stuff works great and I haven't had one problem with any of it. Maybe I just got lucky, but I'd recommend them for an installation. But I'd recommend Circuit City before Best Buy too...

[EDITED[
I finally found an amp to choose from and subs w/enclosure that I'm pretty sure I'll be happy with. Basically, I'm off the hook for commiting the 2 car audio sins: Buying Sony and using a bandpass enclosure.

The amp JBL PowerValve BP-600.1
http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/JBLBP6001

These subs I'm gonna get as long as it's not too big.

The subs w/sealed enclosure Phoenix Gold TXB212S
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/viewitem.php?id=1970

PLUS
Optima Yellow top battery

Now I'm just hoping the subs are not too big for the trunk otherwise I'll have to stick to a bandpass enclosure.

Someone in another board recommended Focal 27 LUX ($199) and JBL 300.1. ($140) or Orion 3200 amp ($120) . These I'm considering too
because they're priced really really low. The sub has good SQ and was told the bass is pretty decent. The other good thing is I wouldn't need to buy the Yellow Top battery.
