I paid 40$ for my kit. What you can do is write down everything that is that kit, bring your list to Wallmart and compare it to their new line of product. Their new amp kit is pretty good if you ask me. Look at the one that includes 4 guage power cable
contents of the kit reg price 60$US got it for 30
20ft-8 ga. "Custom Pro" Power wire
3ft - 8 ga "Custom Pro" grounding wire
17ft - 18ga Amplifier remote turn on wire
5ft - 3/8" black protective Wire tubing
Waterproof AGF fuse holder with 60 amp AGU fuse
10-4" wire ties
Gold plated terminals and hardware
Protective, snap-in wire grommet
tnx for all the replys. but I need to know if I get a good deal or not and should return it and get other brand? Reg Price for all these is 550$US got it for 290$.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but 8 gauge is fairly small to push 1000 watts.
Personnaly, I don't think you got screwed, but I don't think you got the best either. But still seems like a good deal

I would use 4Ga wire, to be safe. I was using 8Ga from my old 500W system when i upgraded to a 1200w amp. I wasn't going to change the wire, but i was worried about it getting too hot, so i changed it to the 4Ga. The system instantly sounded better too.
few things... that model amp is not 1000 watts. i work at a circuit city and we sell that amp there. it says 1000 watts on it, but that's the MAX power. in actuality the amp pushes about 350-400 watts. an 8-guage kit would be ideal for it.
the speakers, you did not get ripped off on, same for the wiring kit. $380 CAN is not too much for all of that stuff. It would probably translate to about $325 US.
the only way i would recommend you getting thicker wire (4 guage instead of 8 guage) would be if you were planning on upgrading to a bigger amp in the future.
