Increasing my sound?
Just got a used ES and the system/speaker are weak!
Is there any way to increase the volume/sound without
changing the factory stereo system? I kind of want to
keep the FUSE system. Maybe replace the speakers
and add a amp and subwoofer??

You to get more power to the speakers...with out blowing them, of course.
I added a 4 channel amplifier to the stock door speakers.
Sounds so much better now that the speakers are getting
a proper amount of power to them vs. the internal amp on the stock head unit.
They cleaner sound

Almost no OEM head units have direct preout connections for amps, but any aftermarket amp can be used. The aftermarket amp will either have direct speaker level inputs or you use a line output converter to convert the factory speaker wires into RCA outputs which feed the signal to the amp. You can tap all of this behind the radio, no need to run new wires except for from the radio harness to the amp.

I had the same problem in my DE. When I bought it, one of the speakers was (and still is) blown, and the right side speakers are much louder than the left side. I checked the balance and options and the left side is just super quiet. I just ordered all new speakers hoping to get better quality. As for the amp problem, I will just have to wait to play around with the new speakers and see if they are balanced and louder.
Thanks for the info.

To get back to this,
I installed new Kenwood speakers, and the volume/weakness issue is fixed! It is not a problem with the amp, just crappy stock paper speakers. Hope this helps!

new speakers would be the quickest option i would have thought, next id change the head unit (unless you want the dash to look stock) as aftermarket headunits have a higher watt output so that will increase volume. If these 2 options still dont satisfy your needs then ether buy a amp and power the door speakers from that or buy an amp and a decent subwoofer - if you can give up some boot space ofcourse!
