Installing a deck (ground wire Q)

Hey,
im going to install a deck in the lancer, and I just wanted to know where the best spot would be to place the ground wire.
And also when I'm installing the deck, I don't have to bother taking off the negative terminal of the battery do I?

thanks in advance

you should disconnect the battery if youre doing anything electrical. and a metal spot behind the dash will work fine for a ground.

I guess the headunit casing is metal, and the gide rail thing is also metal, so its ok? But that doesn't really make much sense, but as long as it works, its all good

since the radio is bolted on to the brackets, and you're screwing it into the car wh ich is metal, the radio grounds itself. you don't have to ground the wire but if you wanted to, the bolt on the back of the dash will do fine.
