unit cost on that would be rediculous.

AND i have pretty much the same power running on 89

Just out of curiosity - for those of you 02-03s out there waiting for this piggy resolution, would you rather have:

A) A piggyback with a smoother idle, no CEL and not as much performance
or
B) A piggyback with the original great performance and a possible lumpier idle and/or possible CEL

Let's see some votes. Talking to RRM, they may just let us choose which setting we would prefer.

As for me - I want the performance! But I don't drive the Lancer for work or school - pertty much just for errands and for fun

i dont have an 02-03, but yeah i'd say go for performance with a bit of an idle problem, cause as far as i know and what others have said, misfiring at idle wont harm the engine. so the car will just kick real hard at idle but it hauls *** when your moving.

who me? if so, yeah i understand, i was just going off what z lancer was saying, because if the new map works both ways then stick with it, theres no choice to make.

This is what I mean - why not get all the same power as before - I'm happy with a lumpier idle.

^^ I'm not saying that the new settings aren't great. I'm just saying that me personally, would prefer to maximize the performance. I think RRM might let us each decide which settings we want. They're gonna try and get all his done next week.

Z-Lancer and AkaSir....... , Monday morning call Gabe. Report back so he knows what settings to install and he will ship the 2 boxes we have right now. I will be gone to SEMA on Sunday. RRM will be closed Tuesday to Thursday. Spread the word. We will ship all we can on Monday and then Friday we will begin shipping again.

Ok, just to clarify your feelings. Does the idle stay pretty solid (for my 5-speed that's normally in the 600-700 range), or does it move around a little (the orginal program caused my idle to drop to 400, climb to 900, and then settle back to 600-700. This was in heavy stop-and-go traffic and DID NOT happen every time I was in an idle condition, it was very intermittent).

If I remember right you were getting CEL before the PB, I take it you've gotten all that resolved and aren't getting any CEL now which could be caused by the PB.

By throttle response seems weaker, do you mean it doesn't react as fast but once it reacts it increases power like the original program?

Since they've had my box to work with for a couple weeks now, I'd really like to get it back. I'm trying to decide what I should tell them tomorrow when I call, give me back the original program or the one you've been using.

idle is fine except for park, then it sputters HERE and THERE. no big deal. but while driving the idle is SOLID yes.

no cel, from pig or from the car.

yes that is what i said about throttle, less at first then it opens up.

we'll see im still testing it, so i may go back to old box. again well see the sacrafce in throttle seems worth it with top end still there.

i installed my piggyback vs.2 yesterday morning. i filled up with a full tank of 93 octane before install! install was like 30 minutes saudered everything! have driven the car 80 miles, and idle has come back to normal only sometimes does it fluctuate. however, problem when i go to punch it, it jerks between gears like it isnt getting any fuel! dont know if this is normal, im thinking the ecu hasnt finished learning yet.

probably a good thing for once everything is fixed, explain your learning procedures that you used. Just a little bit of help for everyone else who wants theirs to learn it right the first time.
