This is the same issue that I have been having - the jerking between gears. I've spoken with RRM about this so they are aware of it. You drive manual, which helps support our assumption that its something with the manuals. Akasirlancers testing as all been done on an automatic tranny. Assuming you drove it nice for ~30 miles at first, 80 miles is plenty to start opening it up.

I think that this just may be a problem for us manual tranny 2002-03 Lancers - so I am just gonna go back to the original map - yes there was a little lumpy idle, and a little backfiring, but the increase in power from 2000-3000 and the solid performance after that is something that I want to have. I'll be giving RRM another call tomorrow.

if you find something out about this please spread the info, cause this will really suck if i have to take it out and send it back, cause its already been remapped and now i have it hardwired in, so i really dont wanna have to take it out! at least RRM knows there is a problem now we need a solution

^^ In all honesty, there isn't really an explanation why the jerking or "fuel cut" occurs. It has something to do with the settings that they are trying. All I know is that the jerking wasn't there with the original map/settings. I'll let ya know if I learn anything else.

Got off the phone with RRM we think they've got a solution. Pete is currently running the settings that the auto piggys will probably end up using and the settings for the manuals are being tested out this week. The manuals will probably have those done and fixed by Thursday. I just need to say that RRM is doing an awesome job getting this taken care of

The new settings being tested for the manuals are much better! After 70 miles, there is no CEL, no jerkines or hickup or pause when shifting hard and no backfiring. There is a rougher idle but its not as bad as the original map/settings. When idling at a stop, the idle may dip down to ~400 or so, or feel like the car will stall, but then it picks it self right back up and this dipping is pretty random and not too frequent. The power this thing makes is amazing. Quicker throttle response, when cruising at 80 MPH and you floor it, you actually start moving , just a smoother stronger powerband. I'd say that they've figured it out. The rougher idle is a small price to pay for the performance you get

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you all but I am glad to hear the problem I experienced with the ver. 1 PB has been rectified with V.2. No sense in having one if the WOT performance isn't there.

so is there any news from roadrace on sending it back for remapping yet, or is it still being tested??
