Why dont you just go get it from Splitsec if you want it that bad. How do you think i got a copy!!! When i got my copy i worked for a company that used them alot and they didnt want us to give it out to just anyone!! If what you say is tru and split doesnt care if the R4 software is released then they can give you a copy. O ya by the way. Modifing the tables and tuning with the software isnt cake. Its a pain.

Yeah, I think we just time-warped to last month.

Back on topic, even though idle is a little, and I do mean just a little, rough, the power is great. Picked up a code reader this last weekend so I can reset codes myself and don't have to bother the folks at Advance Auto anymore.

Sounds like a plan, what about passing inspection, is there a way to disable the piggyback, like disconnecting a wire and then connecting it back up again - I'm guessing it will have to relearn as well - if it is possible...

How much for the code reader?

I'm not even worried about inspection. The PB isn't sitting out in the open and we don't have emmisions testing here.

Around $80 at Advance Auto. There are more expensive ones, but this gets the job done and I don't mind looking up the codes in the book (or from the included software).

Walmart now sells two different code readers as well for a little cheaper. There is like a $60 and a $100 one.

BEst to disconnect it for smog. All you need to do is reconnect the one wire you cut on the start harness. Leave the rest alone.

I think i'll get it then, once I have done the basics that is, like wheels, shoes, drop, intake, exhaust, and headers. Then piggyback yay!

Sounds good, but for the money, I'd get the piggy before the headers. way more power for close price difference!
