back on topic once again... glad to hear rrm is troubleshooting the issue vigilently. although i don't yet have one, it's definitely one first mods to do.

i know that the piggyback is supposed to increase overall performance -- but lets say you have a few mods installed, some of which may increase your midrange and high end, but take away from the low end. would the piggyback help to regain some low end or even it out? I guess that's the whole point, but just wanted to make sure my understanding of how it all worked was clear

thanks!
the pig widens and strengthens the overall powerband... so for most mods for our car, its not too much about hp or tq numbers, (still important) but how much power is available throughout the rpms... the piggy really gets after the problem of a week range of power and gets us more power pretty much everywhere... one thing u will notice right away is the throttle response. its So much better, specially at high speeds. i have the magnum bore rail so i mean its kickin *** for me now. i touch the gas and i can feel acceleration much more quickly than before..

the pig also maximises what u can accomlish from bolt ons, by putting them to better use, it capitalizes onall the mods.. sort of like the icing on the cake, by leaningout the fuel and therfore even making ur gas meilege better. although it does take 89+ octane fuel to own knock. (right? )

good work rrm, ill be hitting you guys up soon to test out the new maps..

as usual ill keep u guys posted.

It's more than I have right now, just the RRM SRI, and I got that as a birthday present. I put more into handling mods first and now I'm starting to work on engine mods.

Yeah, I loved the few days it was in before the reprogramming. Can't wait for the RRM guys to get things worked out and get my box back to me. For my bday, in two and half weeks, I'm getting the Evo 7 style tails. My fiancee bought me my SRI and now my tails.

hey quickie, i already posted how it felt after the "reflash". I feels much better and now accelerates much better from a launch, and from 4500 rpms and up it gets a little kick. I'm not too sure on how it felt the first time i had it cause it was out for so long, but i'm sure its just as good or better, and no cel or idle problems, its perfect.

That pretty much proves it. 04-05 guys are fine. That seems to be the concensous. IT is 02-03 that lost some performance with reflash. We are currently doing test on it though. Have it sorted this week.

yup... hey some updates guys

the cars idle is getting better, still not perfect by any means but its gettion better actually guys..

also, the cel is still on? is that gonna be a permanent fixture here guys?

ON THE PERFORMANCE SIDE GUYS

i have some news...

i did a few runs tonight after hookah, (at the track) and it was against my friends

- 00 celica gt (auto) with a cold air intake as its only mod.
versus
- 02 lancer (auto) w/ rmr sri, magnum rail, PIGGY V2.

BEFORE IT ALL

now i had raced him before (either us had mods) and he had me the whole way, when we topped out at like 80, he was 4 car leangths in front of me.

NOW

with my girlfreind in the car, with my 220 pound fat ***, and my friend weighing in at 140 tops solo in his celica.

we "launched" and i got an early small lead. (decent torque vs toyota tq) and at the shift of first he was gaining on me.. i was ahead by about 1/2 a foot, then i shifted into second and WHAM i started to pull!!! slightly but i did. WE hit about 70 on the track with me ahead by about 2 feet.

now stock hes supposed to have 140 at the crank if im correct, and with drivetrain loss, it shouldnt be too much over 120 to the wheels... so honestly i would have to say i AM SO ****ING HAPPY WITH THE PIG.

now i refer to my small idle problem as a "power purr." i like to think my engine is so anxious its ready to go!

the throttle on this ***** is SICK!!!!! i love it thanks rrm, ill live with my idle problem if i have too, but ill be back in asap to get some more testing done.

WE're workin on it guys!

Rock, I know youre working on it. Just anxious to get back to where I was before the reflash. I had no idea the Lancer could feel the way it did. Like sirlancerlot said, It did feel like a power purr, just before takeoff... It was totally awesome.

I'm just hoping the performance is doable w/out the idle/cel issue...
