dual ecus for AT boosted Lancer

I own a 02 galant but this should relate to you guys so i thought i would share my progress.. I recently installed the evo 8 ecu in conjunction with my galants stock ecu for the purpose of controlling fuel while my stocker does its AT thing.. So far the results are pleasing much more so than with my emanage.. For what its worth the emanage was a good piggy back but i prefer to have a controller which is made for my mitsu engine.. ne way u know the evo ecu is much like a standalone in that you can program a lot of crap plus u get that beautiful 260 load that we are after.. Fuel is awesome timing is awesome but aggressive.. The car runs great with the two exceptions being my idle which is probably a latency issues i cant figure out just yet and my cooling fans dont operate as they should and the temp gets high -- to solve that i disconnected the operating wiring to fun them all the time.. Im getting only 4 codes which i forget off hand but its wastegate solenoid, fuel pressure soldenoid and two others.. Thats my progress for now so ----

The Evo engine harness and Galant engine harness are pretty much identical. The Lancer engine harness has little in common with the Evo so this wouldn't apply here.

The harness connectors to the ECU are different as well as the entire wiring harness. Our engines are 4G94's. The 4G64 in your Galant is pretty much a SOHC, non-turbo Evo engine. Our Lancer's have very little in common with Evo's outside of the name.

i dont see much difference in them - coil on plug wasted spark - im sure the cam and crankshaft sensor is the same signal and the injectors are grnd controlled so they are not an issue -- the fuel pump and mfi relay are the same types and will be fine with the evo ecu -- My harness is not even close to the evo harness which is why u have to splice and solder and cut wires -- Evo ecus are being used in 1g and 2g eclipses ive seen two albeit the older ecus but still. We all have isc stepper motors and tps signals as well as tach signal .. Maybe im missing something -- thanks for the info
