haha yea well if you can get touring to do it that be a big leap for us a/t and i have a feeling you got a better chance with what u been having up ur sleeve

It's possible, you'll have to run dual ECUs.
The original ECU will just be controlling the tranny

That's pretty much the gist of it. It will involve some serious re-wiring as you will have two ECU harnesses spidered into the main harness. If you have a factory service manual, some extra ECU harness connectors and some patience it will work out OK. The trick is to figure out which input/output wires will be needed on the ECU and the PCM.

Better off just to swap to a manual transmission for power levels above 250whp. The amount of work that would be needed to hold 300whp+ on these transmissions (initially meant for under 120whp) would not be worth the money. You'd be better off taking $1200 and shipping your manual Lancer trans off to TRE (what I'm doing) for a stage 2 rebuild and a damn-near bulletproof trans that can handle whatever the 4G94 will ask it to throw down.

Is this for an auto? Because I thought that if you just get the evo 8 ecu everything would ok for a manual?

Yes, that post was regarding the ECU swap for an auto Lancer. It is pretty much plug-and-play for manual Lancers.

haha.. well i got alot up my sleeves senate.. and a built auto trans is for testing to see how far it will go with some real upgrades.

The amount of $$$ it would cost to make a Lancer auto trans hold that kind of power would be more than the value of some people's Lancers and, IMO, a complete waste of time, effort and money. And in the end, there's a pretty good chance that the power won't even hold past 300whp.

so i got a question.. if i have a 02 lancer oz, and i got an evo 8 ecu, ... what do i do.. because plugs are the same?? has anyone tried it out.. ??

Yes. That is what this whole thread is about. You can swap an Evo ECU into a 4G94 Lancer with minimal work.

Just picked up an EVO 8 ECU and hope to install it this weekend.
Hopefully it solves my problem of running rich then lean.

You should take a look at your open and closed loop load tables and make sure they are switching at the right RPM, load and throttle % for your setup.
