I'm curious to see how that works out. I know even though the evo rom is meant for boost, people toss the idea around of using it NA. This auto lancer rom is not entirely looking like it's "meant for boost" (yet) so I bet NA it's going to do very well.

I keep saying !@$# like that, like I'm talking bad about Roadspike, and that is so not what I mean. I just mean it looks like something is holding it back, but perhaps it's just Injectors. I don't think that's totally it, but I do have some data to compare to. I've got a log of very similar TPS and load to mitsu.kid now, and everything basically looks the same...airflow increases similar, the afrmap sort of does the same thing, timing is somewhat the same....but the wideband just doesn't even come close to matching up. My IDC hits 98%, but I'm getting richer at that point, and no signs of leaning out. Lets see how it goes on the MAF for mitsu though, I've got high hopes for that because I think there is some sort of limit, like roadspike said, and even though it's increase, it may still exist.

Don't leave us hangin clix, I wanna see them logs!

ill try man, ive been busy after i got back from my country. all i did to the rom is pasted the lancer values to the evo rom. i was thinking completely modifying it though to suit n/a. idk if it will work though..

Yeah, sounds reasonable...do you have a wideband? Can't really tune without it, so I'm assuming you do.

Haha, just be careful clix. I still get scared with some of those values that are in that table na. I still need to set that timing back quite a bit cause my 501 makes things WAAAAYYY too rich in the top end and with timing that extreme, that motor bucks everywhere if I have cruise control on. Other than that, the lower portion of the evo map is better than my old lancer tune was for power haha. Car seems alot faster and yet the knock light doesnt go off with the extreme timing.

@imalancerman: what i did now is copied the timing and fuel table to their destined load and rpm. to fill the gaps, i interpolated it vertically. idk if its gonna work.

+1 tuning without a wideband 02 is extremly dangerous and should be thought twice about. As you can see with mine, althought my AFR map in evoscan bottoms out at 10 AFR, the actual AFR is sometimes as high as 16 AFR wich is not good, whether boosted or not, im pretty sure an AFR too high in general is not good. So be extra causious until you can get that wideband installed! Secondly once you do, log it using a serial cable, it seriously made my tuning alot easyer! Also are you 5-spd or Auto? if your Auto, do you mind sending me a copy of your lancer ROM/ XML the 512 version?

Imalancerman- are you boosted? how is that 501 maf doing for you? i have a 501 maf available actually from my 99' galant.. What scaling you using? are you auto or 5-spd? im curious!

I am 5-speed and NA at the moment (I do have a wideband so's everyone knows, and my cobb 3in. dp arrived today mwahahaha.) The 501 scaling isn't good for NA as its too rich for what our moters will take. You have to lean out the tables alot and they end up pretty wacky. I am using the eclipse values that senate posted up to run. You should definitely try it. Looking at the difference in sizing from the lancer to 501 is crazy. I don't know why mitsu restricted our motors so much. So sad.

Well these motors were really not ment to be "pushed" or even tuned for that fact. From my understanding the 4g94 is a very "economic" motor. the fact that we turbo charge these things makes us official mitsu badasses But if you can make the motor rip N/A thats equally sick Hmm maybe if i can get the MAF sensor this weekend i might just try the 501 MAF.

Well, the tephra V7 ROM has the global fuel settings for startup, so im trying right now to figure out how this thing works so i can start the car more easy Would you mind PM'ing me your 512 version of your stock lancer ROM/ XML, it would really be useful to me to figure out the startup issue and other scalings for me. If you can it would be much appreciated

Ya I know, knew that the day i hydro'd my motor and got to see how thick those rods were haha. but I was really hoping for more performance at the bottom line without mods. We shoulda had at least the ralliart motor haha. But all in all, I'm happy with my car. I can't wait to go turbo. This motor is going to be a monster. I have a lot of secret plans in the works lol. Just need money to complete them. But where else can you get 300whp and 30mpg haha.
